1941 Born at Rybchyntsy Village, Vynnytsia Oblast.
1950 The family moved to Dnipropetrovsk.
1959-1965 Attended the Dnipropetrovsk Art School.
1965-1971 Studied art at the I.Repin Leningrad College of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture.
1972 Married Natalka Pavlenko.
1972-1976 Lectured at the V.Mukhina Leningrad Applied Art College.
1974 Went to Czecho-Slovakia following the invitation of the Czech artist lan Daniel Smetana.
1975 Uliana, the daughter, was born. Organized the First exhibition of Ukrainian unofficial artists in Moscow.
1976-1977 Made a design of the Ukrainian Calendar for a publishing house in Warsaw.
1977 Forced to move from Leningrad to Dnipropetrovsk.
1983 Took his family back to Leningrad.
1988 The first travel to the West (Paris, France). Admitted to the Artists' Union of the USSR.
1992 Returned to Ukraine: Kiyiv.
1993 The Taras Shevchenko State Prize of Ukraine.
Since 1993 Heads the Historical Painting Workshop at the Ukrainian Art Academy.
