Grigory Alekseevich Tomenko

Born in in 1915 in Velika Rogoznyaka, Kharkov region, Ukraine. Studied at the Kharkov Art College 1924-38, later at the Kharkov Art Institute 1938-42. Active in Kharkov. Mmber of the USSR Union of Artists. Merited artist of the Ukraine.
Important shows include "All-Union Art Exhibition", Moscow, 1951. Specialised in thematic pictures. His paintings are in major Ukrainian art museums and in private collections at home and abroad.
